MASAF Education Talk 2011

We are glad to annouce that MASAF will be organising MASAF EDUCATION TALK'11 on the 29th of january 2011, at the Malaysian Embassy in Paris.

The main speakers for the talk will be Puan Noor Zaitun Yahaya, who is the currently the President of the Malaysian Postgraduates Association in UK, and also the first Malaysian to win the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education for the year 2009. She will be giving the speech 'Awakening our own potential'.

The second main speaker for MASAF Education Talk '11 will be Associate Professor Dr Mohd Rizal Arshad, from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and who is currently part of the Unmanned Robotics Research Group (URRG) from USM. Some of his research includes the 1st Malaysian Intelligent Hybrid Underwater Vehicle(IHUV) . Dr Rizal will give a talk about " Lifelong Learning "

The objectives of this talk are :

1. Giving motivation for Malaysian students to build confidence in oneself to excel in studies
2. Stress, time, and discipline management
3. Giving a clear point of view on the responsibility as a student

Besides the talks, the event will also consist of workshops to deal with communication skills, financial and time management, life a as student, and stress management. These workshops will be in small groups and conducted by Puan Zaitun, Dr Rizal, Ho Xiao Joe (phd Student in Mechanical Engineering, INSA Lyon ) and also Wan Zaireen Nisa Yahya (Vice-President Masaf and now doing Phd in CEA Grenoble in Chemical Engineering ).
